Regional Transportation District (RTD) Special Discount Cards and reduced fares are available for qualified non-emergency medical and non-medical transportation. The Special Discount Card provides a 50% fare reduction for regular RTD bus and rail services, excluding Access-a-Ride.
You may be eligible for a Special Discount Card and Non-Medical Transportation tickets if you are currently enrolled in a Health First Colorado program that is eligible for Non-Medical Transportation services, including:
- Developmental Disabilities Waiver
- Supported Living Services Waiver
- Elderly, Blind, and Disabled Waiver
- Community Mental Health Supports Waiver
- Brain Injury Waiver
- Spinal Cord Injury Waiver
To check your eligibility, log into your PEAKHealth app (the for Apple iOS devices or Google Android devices) and click on the ‘More’ button in the bottom menu. If you are eligible, you will see ‘RTD Discount’ in the displayed menu. Click ‘RTD Discount’ and follow the prompts to ‘Apply for RTD Discount Card’.

IntelliRide will confirm your eligibility and mail the special discount card to your home address within 10 business days of the request.
Once you have your Special Discount Card, you can request discounted Local or Regional bus or rail tickets from IntelliRide until your benefits have exhausted. After, you can continue using your Special Discount Card to purchase tickets at the discounted rate.
To use the special discount card, you must present proof of eligibility every time you ride. Proof can include one of the following:
- Special Discount Card with a valid photo (IntelliRide will use your photo from the PEAK system to create your card. If your photo is not in the PEAK system, you can submit a photo by email.)
- Medicare card
- Current Government ID with your date of birth
Once you have received your Special Discount Card, call IntelliRide at (855) 489-4999 or submit your ticket request through the Online Submission form below to request tickets for the Non-Medical Transportation program. IntelliRide will verify your eligibility and mailing address then mail you the discounted tickets. Please call at least 5-7 days before your trip.

IntelliRide will replace one lost or stolen Special Discount Card per year at no charge. If additional replacements are needed within the certification year, visit your closest RTD location. RTD will replace a lost or stolen card at a charge of $5 with a maximum of five cards in one year.
Damaged cards will be replaced at no charge; however, the damaged card must be presented at the time of being reissued. Damaged cards can be replaced at your nearest RTD locations during normal business hours.
